NIU Career Bests: Bars - 9.625. 2008: Competed in all nine meets on the bars for the Huskies. Earned the first of her three top 10 finishes on bars versus Western Michigan (1/27), placing seventh with a 9.575. Her performance helped the team secure a season-best overall bar score of 48.550 Earned a career-best score of 9.625 to place eighth at UIC (2/27). Tied her season-best with a 9.625 at the MAC Championships (3/29). For the season, averaged 9.517 on bars. 2007: Made two official appearances and competed once in exhibition on uneven parallel bars. Recorded a score of 9.550 in exhibition action on bars versus Eastern Michigan, unofficially earning a career best. At the MAC Championships (3/31), tallied a score of 9.500 to tie her career high and record a season best. 2006: Made one official appearance and competed twice on an exhibition basis on bars. Cracked the line-up on bars versus Illinois (3/18) and came through with a 9.500 score to establish her career high. In first career action, posted a 9.100 score on bars versus Western Michigan (2/12). Prep: Level 9 gymnast for Palmer's Gymnastics in Bloomingdale, Ill. Qualified for U.S.A. Gymnastics national meet as a senior. Personal: Daughter of William and Kathleen Marston. Born April 30, 1987. Majoring in chemistry. Received an honorable mention award for her work in the Freshman Chemistry Sequence at NIU. Made the Dean's List both semesters, and was named an NACGC Academic All-American and to State of Illinois All-Academic squad for 2006. Inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Named a Victory Scholar with a GPA above 3.5 each of her first three years. |
