NIU Gymnastics 2013 vs. Eastern Michigan

The Huskies celebrated Senior Day with their highest score of the season in a win over Eastern Michigan.

Northern Illinois vs. Ball State Gymnastics

Northern Illinois defeated Ball State, 192.925-191.125, to earn its first Mid-American Conference win of the season.

NIU Career Bests: Floor - 9.825 (vs. Kent State, 2-23-13).

2013: In the Huskies' line-up on floor exercise in six meets and competed twice as an exhibition gymnast after coming back from a preseason injury. Scored a 9.800 on floor at the MAC Championships. Established a new career high with a 9.825 versus Kent State. Tied for fifth on floor versus Eastern Michigan with a 9.775. Averaged a 9.733 on the season and scored 9.725 or higher five times in each of her six official outings. Victory Scholar (3.5 and above) in NIU's Academic Excellence Program; Named to the Academic All-State Team.

2012: Competed as a true freshman in all 12 meets for the Huskies on floor exercise. Scored a 9.600 or higher 10 times. Earned a seventh-place finish on floor at State Championships (3-17) with a career high 9.800. Landed three consecutive 9.750 scores against Kent State (2-19), Central Michigan (2-16), and Illinois State (3-4). Ranked fifth on the team on floor exercise with an average of 9.730.

Prep: Trained at Gymnastics Etc. in Bloomington, Ill. where she competed at USA Gymnastics Level 10 for four years. Qualified for Nationals in her 2010 season where she finished seventh in the all-around competition with a score of 35.775. Placed 13th in the all-around at Region 5 Championships as a junior in 2010. Had personal best scores of 9.425 on floor exercise and 9.300 on balance beam as a Level 10 gymnast.

Personal: Daughter of Todd and Mary Taylor of Bloomington, Ill. Born in Bloomington. Participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
