NIU Career Bests: Vault- 9.875, Bars- 9.800, Beam- 9.850 Floor- 9.850, All-Around- 39.350 2009: Named the 2009 MAC Gymnast of the Year as a sophomore. First Huskie gymnast to earn back-to-back first team All-MAC recognition. Also named to the Academic All-MAC team. Made her second straight NCAA South Central Regional all-around appearance. Took eighth place in the all-around at Regionals (4/4) with a score of 39.075. Placed fifth on balance beam at NCAAs after tying her season high with an 9.825 routine. Scored 9.775 on both floor and vault in Arkansas and earned a 9.700 on bars. MAC balance beam co-champion and all-around runner-up scored 9.800 or better on all four events at league meet (3/21) to total a 39.250. Won the all-around competition in six of nine regular season meets with six scores of 39.000 or higher, including a career and season best 39.350 versus Eastern Michigan (1/25). That mark tied for second-best in the MAC in 2009 and is the sixth-best in school history. Two-time MAC Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 13 (following Eastern Michigan meet) and Feb. 10 (after Ball State). Also achieved career best scores on the vault (9.875), uneven parallel bars (9.800) and floor exercise (9.850) as a sophomore. Consistency has been her trademark with 10 of 11 vault scores at 9.775 or above, seven of 11 bars scores above 9.750, seven of 11 beam scores above 9.725 and all 11 floor scores higher than 9.750, including seven at 9.800 or above. In all, took first or second place 27 times, placing in top five on vault in nine meets, on bars six times, five times on beam and seven times on floor exercise to go with her six all-around wins. In the top five 38 times. Led NIU in scoring average on vault (9.750), bars (9.720) and floor exercise (9.800) and was third on beam (9.727). Intense competitor scored 9.800 or higher 20 times. 2008: Competed in every event in all nine regular season meets for the Huskies. Advanced to NCAA Regionals in the all-around. Became the second gymnast in school history named to the All-MAC first team. Won the MAC title on the uneven parallel bars for just the second NIU win at MAC Championships since 1998. Versus Kent State (1/20), recorded scores of 9.750 on bars and 38.325 in the all-around to place second. Tallied 9.725 and 9.700 on the vault and beam, respectively, to finish fourth. Versus Western Michigan (1/27), placed second on vault (9.750), bars (9.725), beam (9.675), and all-around (38.775). Claimed titles on vault (9.825), uneven bars (9.700), and all-around (38.825) versus Ball State (2/3). At UIC, took first on beam with a career-high 9.850, and won the all-around with a 38.975. Versus Central Michigan and UIC (3/2), tallied scores of 9.850 and 9.825 on vault and beam, respectively, to place second in both events and recorded a career-best 39.075 in the all-around. Earned third-place finishes on vault (9.775) and in the all-around (38.225) at the Eastern Michigan Quadrangular (3/8). Tallied top three finishes in four events versus Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan (3/14) including a career-best 9.850 on vault. Placed third on beam with a score of 9.800 (3/22) at the Illinois State Championships. At the MAC Championships (3/29), scored a career-high 9.750 on bars to share the title. Earned two more top five finishes at the MAC meet with a 9.800 on the beam and a 38.975 in the all-around. For the season, tied for first on the team with a vault score of 9.850. Tallied the second-highest scores on the team on bars (9.750) and balance beam (9.850) on the year. Finished the season averaging 9.658, 9.385, 9.713, 9.605 and 38.360 on the vault, bars, beam, floor exercise, and all-around, respectively. Overall, finished with 36 top 10 finishes, with 31 of those in the top five. Prep: Trained at the American Academy of Gymnastics in Wheeling,Ill., where she competed as a Level 10 gymnast for six years. As a sophomore, won the floor exercise and took second in the all-around at State. Placed third in the all-around as a junior. Finished her career with a first-place finish on bars and a second-place finish in the all-around at state competition. Earned four varsity letters, was named to the all-conference and all-state teams four years in a row, and was named Most Valuable Gymnast and team co-captain her senior year at Fremd.
