2008: Did not see action for the Huskies in 2008. Prep: Trained at Twistars USA in Lansing, Mich. where she was a Level 10 gymnast for one year. Took first-place in the all-around at the USAG State meet her freshman year, and won the bars title at Regionals. As a sophomore, won the state all-around title, took third in the all-around and first on bars at Regionals, and claimed first-place in the bars competition with a 9.575, at Nationals. Ranked in the top 10 percent of her class while earning honor roll status all four years of high school. Personal: Daughter of Bob and Jean Ruff of St. Johns, Mich. Born Nov. 27, 1988 in Lansing, Mich. Intends to major in nursing. Named a Huskie Scholar with a GPA above 3.0. |
