NIU Career Bests: Vault- 9.650

2007: In her rookie season as a Huskie, was a consistent contributor on the vault event, competing in 10 of 12 meets. Scored a career high 9.650 in her opening meet in a triangular versus the University of Wisconsin- Stout, and M.I.T, to take sixth place. Scored a 9.625 on the vault on five separate occasions, and placed in the top 10 in five of her 12 meets. Her top five finishes included eighth versus Iowa (2/3), eighth versus Kent State (2/11), seventh versus Denver (2/17), fifth versus Ball State (2/23), and sixth versus Western Michigan (3/11). For the season, she averaged a 9.508 on the vault.

Prep: Trained at The Gym Corner in Washington, Illinois as a high schooler. As a Level 9 senior, won the beam competition at the 2006 Illinois state meet. Placed fourth on the uneven parallel bars and was fourth on the vault. Took third place in the state all-around competition. Also participated at her high school as a cheerleader.

Personal: Daughter of John and Tonyette Sandoval. Born December 22, 1987. Plans to major in studio art, design with an emphasis in photography.
