NIU Career Bests: Vault - 9.800; Beam - 9.825; Floor - 9.800.

2007: In her junior year, competed in all 12 meets for the Huskies. Was in the line-up 11 times on vault, 10 on beam, and 12 on floor. She earned a career-high score of 9.800 on the vault on two occasions: at the University of Illinois (2/25), earning a sixth place finish in the vault, and at the State Championships (3/25). Had a solid performance at the State Championships, as finishing in the top 10 in two events as she was 10th on floor and fifth on vault. Also placed 12th in state on balance beam. Her other season highs included a 9.725 on the beam at Central Michigan (3/17), giving her a fifth place finish. Scored a season best 9.775 on the floor exercise versus Eastern Michigan (3/4); to tie for third with teammate Jennifer Naughton. For the season, averaged a 9.593 for the vault, 9.448 for the beam, and 9.625 for the floor exercise. Scored a 9.625 or higher on the vault in seven of 11 meets, and scored a 9.700 or higher on the floor exercise in five of 12 competitions. Maintained consistency with a score of 9.525 or higher for the beam in eight out of 10 appearances.

2006: In the NIU line-up for all 11 meets on beam and floor and in 10 events on vault. Averaged a 9.659 on the floor with a season and career high 9.800 versus Western Michigan (2/12). Posted nine scores of 9.600 or higher on floor exercise as a sophomore. Tied for fifth on floor at the State Championships (3/18) with a 9.700 and was tied for fourth with the same score in the season-opening Triangular Meet (1/15). Recorded a 9.750 floor score in the second Triangular Meet (1/29). Top overall performance came versus Michigan State (3/5) with a season and career-best 9.825 on beam, a 9.725 on floor and a 9.625 vault. Eighth on the vault at the MAC Championships (3/25) after a 9.750 effort and tied for third on vault with the same score versus Kent State (3/12). Had a season average of 9.580 on vault with six scores of 9.625 or higher. Tallied eight scores of 9.500 or higher on balance beam to average 9.466 on the year. Earned marks of 9.600 versus Illinois (3/18) and Eastern Michigan (2/18) on beam.

2005: As a freshman, cracked the line-up in 12 meets on beam, 11 on vault and 10 on floor. Season high score of 9.750 on floor exercise came in her first meet versus Eastern Michigan (1/23) where she also tied for second on vault with a 9.600. Compiled eight scores of 9.550 or above to average a 9.565 on the floor exercise for the year. Posted a 9.725 on floor at the State Championship meet (3/19) and added a 9.625 on vault and a 9.525 on beam for one of her top overall performances of the year. Earned 9.700 scores on floor versus Central Michigan (3/20) and Michigan State (1/30). Claimed two top five finishes at Western Michigan (3/13), taking a fourth-place on the vault after a 9.625 and fifth place on beam with a season-best 9.675 and added a 9.575 on the floor exercise in that meet. Tied her season high with a 9.675 on beam at the MAC Championships (3/25) where she also tied for 15th (9.600) on vault. Had a strong series versus Kent State (2/27) with a 9.650 on vault, a 9.575 on beam and a 9.675 on the floor exercise. Averaged a 9.575 on vault for the year with seven efforts of 9.600 or above. Added a 9.650 on beam at Ball State (3/4).

Prep: Spent her last two years competing at U.S.A. Gymnastics Level 9 for Spring Hill Gymnastics in Elgin, Ill. Placed third on the vault and on the Floor at USAG State competition her senior year. Won the all-around at USAG State meet as a sophomore.

Personal: Daughter of Trish and Steve Whitecotton. Pre-Physical Therapy Major. Born September 24, 1985. Earned Huskie Scholar status her junior year, as well as named an NACGC Academic All American at the conclusion of the 2007 season.
