Experience:
First Season

Angela Righeimer has joined NIU's women's soccer team as a volunteer assistant coach in 2014. The Park Ridge, Ill. native was a goalkeeper for the Toledo Rockets from 2007 to 2010.

After a couple short coaching stints and spending some time working in the business field, she came to NIU to pursue a master's degree in sport management and help improve the women's soccer team. Righeimer has completed the first two levels of the NSCAA goalkeeper courses, and she is in pursuit of the level three diploma.

Within her body of coaching work, she has helped shape adolescent girls into better players. Her first bit of coaching experience came with the Tampa United Soccer Club from November 2011 to April 2012. There, she assisted the head coach in team practices as a volunteer. She worked primarily with U-13 girls, specializing in goaltending training. In addition, she also offered private sessions to young aspiring goalkeepers during her time coaching at Tampa United.

Shortly after she broke off of Tampa United, Righeimer brought her coaching talents to Park Ridge Soccer. The crowd was a bit younger this time, as she coaching U-10 girls, once again on a volunteer basis. She was there from September 2012 to November 2012. As a player, Righeimer was part of a Toledo team that had a very nice run in the MAC during her four years.

The Rockets produced the best regular season conference record in the conference in 2008 and 2010. The team also won the MAC Tournament in 2007 and 2008. Righeimer was particularly important on that 2010 team, acting as team captain.

In her time not spent coaching over the last couple years, Righeimer has worked for both Frito Lay and TEKSystems. She has an excellent track record of networking success and building relationships.
