NIU: Eager for more playing time after developing into a dependable reserve and becoming one of the 14 letterwinners back.
2005: Came off the bench in 15 contests seeing action primarily as a defender. Logged a season-high 51 minutes in NIU's 2-0 league loss at Ball State (10-21-05). Finished season as one of NIU's six frosh to earn initial varsity letter.
Prep: Four-year varsity starter and letterwinner at Bishop Foley Catholic helped Ventures reach Division 3 Regional Finals during last two years after BFCHS captured Division 3 state titles during her frosh (2002) and sophomore (2003) seasons. Earned some level of All-State, All-Region, All-District, and All-Michigan Catholic League conference honors during her last three campaigns. Senior captain and center midfielder was named to Daily Tribune's All-Area Dream Team after her second 20-point season (six goals/eight assists). Also had 20 points (8g/4a) during sophomore year and finished with career tallies of 59 pts. (20g/19a). Made BFCHS Honor Roll throughout her four years and was nominated each year for school's Student Ambassador and Scholar-Athlete Awards.
Personal: Member of Michigan Hawks' 87 unit which won 2003 and 2004 State Cup championships. Previously played for Rochester Lighning's 87 crew was reached State Cup semis in both 2001 and 2002. In 2001, Lightning won Huntsville Soccer Classic, Nashville Music City Invitational, and Georgia's Triumph Cup crowns along with reaching Atlanta's Kohl Cup finals in 2002. Named to Michigan Olympic Development Program's state squad in 2001 and 2002. Made North Carolina summer camp All-Star team and earned Gatorade Defensive Player of the Week acclaim on Nov. 4.
