Women's Soccer 2010 Spring Schedule
DEKALB, Ill. - The Northern Illinois women's soccer team will kick-off its 2010 spring schedule this weekend, when the Huskies travel to the University of Illinois to compete in a seven-on-seven, split-squad tournament on Saturday. NIU will play in 10 matches this spring in an exhibition schedule that features four Big Ten conference opponents, a NCAA tournament team and a Huskie alumni game. In Saturday's contests in Champaign, Ill., NIU will compete against Illinois, Indiana State, St. Louis and Louisville. On March 28, the Huskies will face their second Big Ten opponent when they travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to take on the University of Michigan. The Huskies will hit the road again April 10, as they travel to Northwestern in Evanston, Ill. to compete in a pair of matches against DePaul and Northwestern. The Huskies will then host the NIU alumni game on April 11 at the NIU Soccer and Track & Field Complex. One week later, the Huskies will face 2009 NCAA Tournament participant Illinois State in Normal, Ill. on April 18 before concluding their spring schedule by hosting Wisconsin, April 21.
