DeKALB, Ill. - Head Coach John Ross announced the addition of nine signees to his first recruiting class as head coach of the Northern Illinois women's soccer program. The geographically well-versed class features three from Wisconsin, two from Illinois and Minnesota and others from Florida and Nebraska.

"I am really excited about the class we have coming in this fall. These players have had a tremendous amount of experience at the highest levels in club soccer, which will translate well in the college game," said Ross. "Along with the current players we have on the team, the 2012 class should come in and allow us as a team to be multifaceted this fall."

The class of 2012 features six midfield players and three forwards to bolster the Huskies roster of 21 players. NIU finished 2-15-2 and 1-10 in Mid-American Conference play in 2011, including a 1-0 win at Buffalo on a goal by defender Lauren Eberts.
