Kelsey Passaglia recorded her third goal of the season in Friday's 2-1 victory over Ball State

DEKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois women's soccer sophomore Kelsey Passaglia (Cary, IL/Cary-Grove) was named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week Monday as she helped lead the Huskies to a 2-1 MAC victory over Ball State.

"Kelsey has been performing well," head women's soccer coach Carrie Barker said. "She is a hard worker and it is great to see her get recognition by the MAC."

Passaglia recorded her third goal of the season on Friday, when she scored NIU's second goal in the Huskies' 2-1 victory over Ball State. She also assisted senior Lisa Maier (Orland Park, IL/Sandburg)in a goal against the Cardinals in just the first five minutes of the match to earn three points in the contest. She currently leads the Huskies with seven points and 27 shot attempts this season.

Passaglia and the Huskies will continue MAC action Thursday as they travel to Western Michigan for their final game of the season.
