DEKALB, Ill. - The Northern Illinois women's soccer team (2-14-2, 1-9-0) will close its 2011 season Thursday afternoon when it hosts Western Michigan (11-7-0, 7-3-0). Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. It will be the first time in four years the Broncos have played NIU in DeKalb and the last collegiate match for seniors Meaghan Bennett, Becca Ford, Megan Harry and Kelsey Passaglia.

LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies went to the Buckeye state to take on Miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green in their final road trip of the season. NIU fell to the Redhawks Friday afternoon, 3-0, and followed with a loss to the Falcons, 2-0, on Sunday. The losses eliminated the Huskies from MAC Tournament contention.

SCOUTING WESTERN MICHIGAN
The Broncos are amongst the top in the MAC with an overall record of 11-7-0 and a 7-3-0 register in league play. The seven wins are tied for the second-most in the Mid-American Conference. Western Michigan has been on somewhat of a hot streak lately, winning six of its last seven matches, with its only blemish in that time against Buffalo Oct. 9, falling 3-2 at the Bulls Complex. The Broncos recorded an upset Oct. 14 defeating Central Michigan 1-0 in regulation, for CMU's only loss in MAC play.

The Broncos are amongst the top scoring teams in the conference this season with 28 goals, tied for fourth-most this season with Ball State. Anna Cicerone has eight of those goals this season and is in a three-way tie for second at that mark, while Stephanie Skownewski is the MAC leader in helpers with eight this season. Netminder Michelle Watson has posted nine shutouts in 2011, also the top-mark in the Mid-American Conference this season.

THE HUSKIES AND THE BRONCOS
All-time the Huskies trail the Broncos in the series dating back to 1997, 5-8-1. Remarkably, the teams have never met each other in postseason play. Head Coach Carrie Barker is 0-2-1 against WMU in her time at the helm of NIU, with the only draw taking place in 2009, a 0-0 affair. It will be the first time since 2006 that the Broncos have played in DeKalb, where Northern Illinois owns the series edge, 3-2.

GOODNIGHT, TRAVEL WELL
The Huskies four seniors Meaghan Bennett, Becca Ford, Megan Harry and Kelsey Passaglia will be donning Northern Illinois' Cardinal and Black for the final time in their NIU career's against the Broncos. Though they were honored following the Loyola match Sept. 18, here are a few notes on the senior class.

- The senior class combined for 181 career appearances and 119 starts
- Ford, Harry and Passaglia combine for 13 goals and nine assists
- In their four seasons, the team posted a record of 25-40-11, including two nine win seasons (2008, 2010)
