2010 Signing Day Bios
DEKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois University women's soccer head coach Carrie Barker announced the addition of 10 student-athletes to the Huskies 2010 roster, as student-athletes from across the country signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic and academic careers at NIU.
The talented group of high school seniors has earned many accolades during their Olympic Development Program (ODP), club and high school careers. Members of this group have represented their club teams in US Youth Soccer National Championships, played for their Regional and State ODP teams, played on nationally ranked club teams including ELA Elite (Ill.), Blue Valley Stars Mallorca (Kan.), Real So Cal (Cali.) and Michigan Hawks (Mich.), won high school state championships, earned All-State accolades and set school records with their high school teams.
At forward, the Huskies have added four student-athletes from four states to their offensive attack. Devon Bond (Gull Lake H.S.), Frances Boukidis (Crescenta Valley), Samantha Hill (Geneva) and Shannon Renner (Blue Valley Northwest) join the Huskies from Michigan, California, Illinois and Kansas, respectively.
A pair of Illinois natives will join the NIU roster at goalkeeper for the upcoming season. Deanna Libricz will be joining the Huskies from Dundee-Crown in Algonquin, Ill., while Emily Mulder will come to NIU from Wheaton Academy in Glen Ellyn, Ill.
In the midfield, the Huskies have added the duo of Corinne Frankenberg and Courtney Ksiazek. Frankenberg (Appleton East H.S.) and Kziasek (Neuqua Valley) join Northern Illinois from Wisconsin and Illinois, respectively.
On the defensive end, Barker added Taylor Conter and Lauren Solomon to complete the incoming class. Conter joins the Huskies from Dexter High School in Dexter, Mich. while Solomon will be joining NIU upon graduation from Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, Ill.
