Assistant Softball Coach Jenna Roberts talks about what brought her to NIU and what it means to coach here in DeKalb.

2015: Played in 48 games with 42 starts in the outfield as a senior...Batted .213 with 23 hits, 15 runs, nine extra-base hits and 13 RBI...Hit her first-career home run against Eastern Michigan (April 24), then clocked a second dinger two days later against Central Michigan (April 26)...Hit a walk-off RBI double to win the second game of a doubleheader against Akron (March 28)...Recorded five RBI in the twinbill against the Zips...Notched 11 of her 13 RBI in conference play...hit triples in back-to-back games against Akron (March 28) and Bowling Green (April 3)...Hit five doubles...Scored two runs against Florida A&M (March 7).

2014: Played in 17 games with 14 relief appearances and three starts in the circle...Finished the year with a 2-1 record and a 3.76 ERA in 31.2 innings pitched...Struck out 16 batters on the year...Recorded her second career complete game against North Dakota (3/9), scattering six hits and three runs over seven innings in a 10-3 win...Started two games at first base...Accounted for a run against Miami (Ohio) (4/12).

2013: Saw action in 15 games making six appearances as a relief pitcher, seven as a pinch runner and two games as a pinch hitter...Scored four runs on the season, tallying a run in four separate games...Pitched 9.2 innings allowing 15 hits, 13 runs, 12 earned while striking out four.

2012: Pitched in 27 games for the Huskies, starting 11 of them...Also made appearances at first base...Pitched a total of 62.1 innings, allowing 110 hits and 84 runs...Ended the season with a 7.07 ERA.

High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner...Earned first team All-County and All-Conference and second team All-State sophomore year, posting a .88 ERA with 124 strike outs...Holds record for most career strikeouts (284), lowest career ERA (1.85), most strikeouts in a season (109), and lowest single season ERA (.88)...Holds a high school career record 23-12 as a starting pitcher...Played travel softball for the So Cal Explosion 18u gold and placed third in the ESPN Florida Citrus Showcase Tournament.
