NIU Softball Team Cancelled Saturday

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Northern Illinois University softball team's series opener with Toledo has been cancelled and the two teams will play a doubleheader Sunday. First pitch for Game One is set for 11 a.m. Central Time. The Huskies (19-30, 7-11) split its doubleheader with Bowling Green on Friday, while Toledo split its doubleheader with Western Michigan. Sunday's doubleheader has MAC Tournament implications. NIU currently holds the seventh seed, while the Rockets are a game out of the eighth and final spot in the 2012 MAC Softball Tournament. -NIU-
