NIU Women's Tennis Downed By DePaul, 7-0
March 8, 2008
Chicago, Ill. - The Northern Illinois women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to DePaul on the road Saturday afternoon. The Huskies were unable to post back-to-back wins after defeating Western Illinois on the road last weekend. NIU now stands at 2-3 this spring while the Blue Demons improve to 10-4. "We look better and better match by match," said NIU head coach Ryun Ferrell. "We are just trying to get back into the swing of things. We look forward to going to Florida, being outside, hitting some balls outside and working up a sweat. It will be a different culture without the snow. I give credit to DePaul, we lost to a good team. We are going to go back to the drawing board and keep pushing." The Huskies return to action on Tuesday, March 11 as they travel to Daytona, Fla. to take on Embry-Riddle at 3:30 p.m. CST. -NIU- Results Singles
