2009-10: Cross Country Recorded a personal-best five-kilometer time of 19:05 at the Illinois Intercollegiate(9/18) ... set a career-best six-kilometer time of 22:58.9 at the Tori Neubauer Race (10/17) ... took home second place for the Huskies in every meet in which she competed ... ran a 6k time of 23:54.8 at the MAC Championships to finish second for the Huskies, taking home 34th overall. 2008-09: Indoor - Won the 3,000m run in consecutive meets... took first at the Illinois Intercollegiate (1/31) in 10:25.97, and set a personal record of 10:22.27 to win gold at the CMU Quadrangular (2/6)... debuted for NIU with a second-place 3,000 (10:45.72) at the Panther Open (1/17)... placed fourth with a 3:09.20 in the 1,000m run at the Carle/Health Alliance Invite (1/24)... finished sixth with a personal record 5:15.90 mile at the BSU Quadrangular (2/6). Outdoor- Recorded personal-bests times in the 800m run (2:25.36) and the 3000m run (10:16.05) at the Northridge Invitational (3/14) ... achieved a personal-best time of 17:39 in the 5000m run at the Ben Brown Invitational (3/7). Missouri State: Competed for one season as a Bear before transferring to Northern Illinois. High School: Earned all-state honors three times, for track as a freshman and sophomore and in cross country as a junior... did not compete as a senior... ran a career-best two-mile time of 11:02. Personal: Daughter of Maria and Jorge Nieto... born Sept. 7, 1988... majoring in pre-nursing. |
