2008-09: Indoor - Ran an NIU season-best and personal record 7.92 60m dash at the Illinois Intercollegiate (1/31)... recorded a personal best in the 200m dash (26.03) at the MAC Championships (2/28)... ran 7.96, her second-fastest 60m of the season, at the MAC Championships (2/27)... placed second at the Carthage Opener (1/10) in the 55m dash, running a 7.55... took fourth in the 60m dash with an 8.09 mark at the ISU Early Bird (12/6)... placed fifth with an 8.12 in the event at the Panther Open (1/17). Outdoor- Placed third in the 100m dash with a personal-best time of 12.70 at the NIU Invitational (5/9) ... finished second at the Spartan Invitational (4/18) in the 100m dash with a time of 12.93 ... earned a personal-best time of 25.92 in the 200m dash at the Mike Poehlein Invitational (4/4), placing eleventh.

2008 Highlights: Ran a personal best at the Badger Track Classic (1/12/08) in 200m with a time of 27.53... ran to a personal best at the Carle/Health Alliance Classic (1/26/08) in the 60m with a time of 8.30 and in the 400m with a time of 1:04.52... set another best in the 60m with an 8.28 finish at MAC Championships (2/29/08)... captured a personal best in the 55m with a time of 7.71 at the Tadd Metzger Invite (2/2/08).

High School: Earned four varsity letters in track and field... recognized by the Northern Illinois Conference as a 1st team selection as a sophomore for her efforts in the 200m... earned all state honors the same season after finishing fourth in the 800m medley relay... captured All-American status by medaling in the 800m sprint medley at the 2005 Nike outdoor Nationals... Walters was named co-captain of the squad her junior year, again earning 1st team all-conference and improving to 2nd place and all state in the 800m medley relay... she helped lead the Indians to an 8th place finish at the IHSA outdoor championships... As a senior Walters retained the role of captain, leading her team to indoor and outdoor conference championships for the fourth straight year... she was named to her third all-conference team, this one for the 4x100 meter relay... Walter left Hononegah with the school record in the 55m dash (7.24) and still holds the record for the 4x100 relay (49.0) and 800m sprint relay (1:45.61).
