DeKalb, Ill. - The Northern Illinois University volleyball team will get a chance to preview its 2009 roster by playing on four dates this spring that includes the Huskies' annual Salvani Spring Playdate on Saturday, March 21 at the NIU Recreation Center.
The spring competition is in honor of former Huskie volleyball player Karen Salvani (1998). Fans can watch the matches for free at the Rec Center that is located at the corner of Lucinda Avenue and Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb. Teams will compete from 8:30 a.m. CST until 5 p.m.
Following the Salvani Spring Playdate, the Huskies hit the road for three more day-long playdates. The first is against UW-Milwaukee on Saturday, March 28 in Milwaukee, Wis. Then NIU travels to Chicago for competition at Loyola on Saturday, April 4 before heading to Peoria, Ill. to compete at Bradley on Saturday, April 11.
