2006 Europe Trip Diary
<< Kate McCullagh >>
Our trip to Europe was life changing, I have learned so much about; my culture, other cultures, my coaches, my teammates and myself. The trip was all about learning and adjusting. We had to adapt to our surroundings, whether on the street or on the court. We experienced so much in the past week, together. Not only did we get the privilege of going to Europe for a week, but also we got to do so with some of our best friends. From this trip we will grow, as teammates and people. We will learn to appreciate our TVís and alarm clocks, the softness of our toilet paper, our voltage and outlets, and free water, all of which we so often take for granted. As teammates we saw what elements are so necessary to make playing fun and successful. We got to experience what it is like to be a foreigner first hand. I am so glad we got to go on this trip and I personally want to thank all the family and friends who made it possible.
P.S. We wish our weightlifting coach could have come with us . . . (maybe next time Chad)
