A blog from China by senior middle blocker Mary Kurisch.
Initial Release | July 5 | July 7 | July 11 | July 14
Well, after a long day of traveling I am finally home from China!
The flight home seemed a lot quicker than the flight there. My whole trip was such a great experence and I am very thankful that I was able to go. I got a chance to play with many different players from different universities, and even some professional players. Together we formed a team and competed against three different professional Chinese teams. The level of play was very high, and although we struggled with winning games, we fought hard and learned a lot about their style of play.
Along with the volleyball aspect of trip, I got to see many of China's famous attractions, including the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Silk Market. While I saw these attrations last year, I still enjoyed seeing them again and I continued to learn more about each of them from our tour guides.
Thank you to those who read my blog and for those who supported me! I look forward to seeing you all at a game this fall! Following are some pictures from my whole experience in China.
