Two NIU Volleyball Matches Selected for Initial MAC TV Schedule

DeKALB, Ill. - The Mid-American Conference announced Friday that two Northern Illinois volleyball matches will be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel as part of the league's new regional partnership.
The first appearance by the Huskies will be Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. when they travel to Bowling Green in a rematch of last year's MAC Championship match. A month later, NIU returns to the airwaves when they host Western Michigan Oct. 31 at a special start time of 6 p.m. inside Victor E. Court.
"I'm excited that we will have two of our conference matches shown on the Time Warner Cable SportsChannel," said NIU Head Coach Ray Gooden. "We're honored to have a home match broadcast that can showcase Victor E. Court. We look forward to expanding our audience on a national scale. Both matches are against two very competitive MAC programs. Having a TV audience will only add to the excitement for both matches."
