GENEVA, Ohio - The No. 4-seeded Northern Illinois volleyball team will take on No. 1 seed Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m. CT in the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals at SPIRE Institute. The winner will go on to the championship match Sunday at 12 p.m. to face the winner of No. 3 Western Michigan versus No. 2 Bowling Green or No. 7 Eastern Michigan.

The Huskies (20-13, 10-6 MAC) topped Akron in four sets to advance, while Ohio (20-9, 14-2 MAC) swept Ball State. The series between the two schools is locked at 14-14 as Ohio knotted it with a 3-1 win in Athens, Ohio earlier this season on Oct. 19. The teams last met in the MAC Tournament in the 2010 championship match as Ohio won in three sets.
