Joins Northern Illinois' coaching staff in 2013 after finishing her track career with the Huskies in the spring

Previous School:Earned Second Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors in 2012 after posting top five finishes in the 5000 meters and 10,000 meters... Three-time winner of the school's Brother David Delahanty Award, which is annually given to a student-athlete who excels in athletics and academics... Named to the GLVC's Academic All-Conference team three times.

High School:Four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track and field for St. Edward Central Catholic... Four-time All-Suburban Christian Conference cross country selection, two-time runner-up and champion as a freshman... Two-time cross country state qualifier... Placed 19th overall at the state cross country championship as a freshman... Two-time state qualifier in track and field...three-time track and field captain and two-time team MVP... Set the school-record in the 3,200-meter run and as a member of the 4x800 relay team... Four-time Academic-All Conference selection... Four year member of the high honor roll and a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal:Daughter of Bill and Nancy Lucas... Pursing a master's degree in kinesiology.
