Courtney Oldenburg leads Huskies with 54th place finish
Raced in six races during the year... posted a career-best time in the 5K at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational (10/1), racing to a time of 21:04.90... ran a career-low 6K time of 25:09.70 at the MAC Championship.
2010: Competed in two meets during the 2010 season... ran a season-best 5K time of 22:43.79 at the Huskie Open (9/11)
2009: Recorded a personal best six-kilometer (25:47) at the Roy Griak Invitational (9/26)...set a personal best 5k time of 21:36 at the Illinois Intercollegiate (9/18) ... also competed in the Western Illinois Open (9/4), Huskie Open (9/12) and the Tori Neubauer Race (10/17).
2008: Competed in all six meets for the Huskies... scored at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships (9/19), placing fifth among NIU runners in 21:16... ran personal best 5k time of 21:05 at the MAC Championships (11/1)... completed her fastest 6k at the Bradley Cross Country Classic (10/17), finishing in 25:16.
High School: Four-year letterwinner served as team captain in her senior and junior seasons... as a senior, qualified for state as a member of the 4x800m relay squad, which also won the sectional title... also qualified for sectionals in cross country... as a junior, was named cross country MVP, and helped the 4x800m relay team to the state championships after finishing second at sectionals... member of the 4x800m relay team that qualified for state and set a school record as a sophomore.
Personal: Daughter of Deborah and Carl Troike, Jr.... born Jan. 22, 1990... father was a track and field and cross country athlete at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology... enjoys photography and reading... admires Steve Prefontaine and Alan Webb... four-year honor roll student was also a member of National Honor Society.
