Q: How many tickets can I purchase?
A: There is no limit on the number of tickets a person can purchase. However, there is a limit on how many seats will be allocated during the FIRST round. All orders received by May 1, 2012 will be included in the FIRST round. Season ticket holders and donors are eligible for the same number of Soldier Field tickets as they have season tickets, or four, whichever is greater. If they order more than they are eligible for, the remaining seats will be allocated during the SECOND round. Therefore all the seats will not be together. Fans will have the opportunity to decline getting better seats during the FIRST round and having all of their seats together and allocated during the SECOND round.
- Example 1: Harry Huskie has six season tickets but orders 10 tickets for Soldier Field. Six of the tickets will be allocated during the FIRST round. The remaining four will be allocated during the SECOND round.
- Example 2: Henry Huskie is a donor to the HASF but does not have season tickets. Henry is eligible to buy four tickets to Soldier Field that will be allocated based on loyalty points during the FIRST round.
- Example 3: Harvey Huskie has two season tickets but orders 20 tickets for Soldier Field. Four of the tickets will be allocated during the FIRST round. The remaining 16 will be allocated during the SECOND round.
- Example 4: Helen Huskie has four season tickets but orders 12 tickets for Soldier Field. She checks the box on her renewal form stating that she wants all of her seats to be together. Therefore all 12 tickets will be seated together during the SECOND round.
Q: When will I receive the tickets?
A: All tickets ordered through the NIU ticket office have already been mailed. If you have not received your tickets, please call the ticket office immediately at 815-752-6800.
Q: Where will my seats be?
A: Seat locations will be determined based on the HASF Loyalty Point System. Orders received by May 1, 2012 will be allocated during the FIRST round of allocations. If you do not have any loyalty points, after all HASF donors' orders are filled, season ticket holders' (who are not donors) seat locations will be determined by DATE order. Therefore, if you are not a donor to the HASF, the earlier you order, the better seats you will receive. Please also read "How many tickets can I purchase?" for a full explanation and examples of how the allocation of seats will work.
Q: Where can I park?
A: NIU season ticket holders and HASF donors have the opportunity to pre-purchase a $49 parking pass. NIU fans who pre-purchase a parking pass will receive a pass for the Waldron Deck. Soldier Field controls the parking for this event but is allowing NIU fans to purchase passes ahead of time so that all NIU fans will be able to park together. There is no limit to the number of passes you can order. Parking passes will be mailed with your tickets.
Q: When do I need to order by?
A: The deadline for priority ordering is May 1, 2012. All orders received by this date will be allocated in the best seats. Tickets will go on-sale to the public on May 7, 2011.
Q: How many tickets are Iowa fans getting?
A: As the visiting team, Iowa will receive 20,000 tickets to sell to their fans. If Iowa sells out of their allotment, they will direct their fans to TicketMaster beginning May 7, 2012. They will not receive more tickets to sell.
Q: When do the tickets go on sale to the public?
A: Tickets will be made available to the public through TicketMaster on May 7, 2012.
Q: Will there be a fan bus?
A: NIU Athletics is offering a fan bus from DeKalb to Soldier Field for $25 per person and does not include a game ticket. Fill out the order form and return it to the HASF. For more information, call the HASF Office at 815-753-1923.
