Week's Achievements: Schiavi turned in a top-20 performance at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate. Schiavi tied for 15th in the event with a 54-hole total of 218. Schiavi opened the tournament with a 74 before posting his best round of the event in round two, carding a 71. Schiavi wrapped up the tournament with a 73 in the final round. The 15th-place finish is the second top-20 for Schiavi in his collegiate career, the sophomore also placed 15th last season at the Cardinal Intercollegiate.
Week's Achievements: Junior Courtney Ksiazek netted her first goal since her freshman year Sunday afternoon against South Dakota when Northern Illinois pounced all over the Coyotes, 4-1. Just a minute into the match NIU was awarded a corner kick where Shelbi Johnson connected a cross to the far post to the head of Lauren Noonan who headed the ball on frame, but the shot was saved by the goalkeepers shins. With the ball rolling in the box, Ksiazek charged the loose ball in the box and rifled a shot past the keeper from eight-yards out for NIU's first goal of the day. Defensively, Ksiazek and her cohorts played well and only allowed USD to three shots on goal and controlled possession in the match by not allowing a single Coyotes corner kick attempt. Ksiazek has started all seven matches this season at center back and was a key member of the Huskies first winning non-conference record (4-3) since the 2008 season.
