Week’s Achievements: Senior golfer Jeff Dick (Sherman, Texas/Sherman) collected the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week accolade for his winning performance at last week's Bearcat Invitational.
Dick fired a career-best seven-under-par at the par 72 Traditions Golf Club to secure the honor. The 2010 All-MAC second team selection torched the northern Kentucky course for ten birdies en route to a comfortable two-stroke victory. Dick's second individual title helped the Huskies to finish second place, their best showing since the 2008 Davidson Invitational.
After a slow start this season, the Texan has strung together three consecutive top-20 performances. Dick's excellent play this week also knocked his scoring average down a full stroke to 73.4, good for first on the team and fifth in the MAC.

Week’s Achievements: Last week, outside hitter Allison McGlaughlin (Morton, Ill./Morton) put together a well-rounded weekend in playing a key role as the Huskies went 2-0 in Mid-American Conference competition. The junior led the team with 30 digs (4.29/set) and ranked second with 25 kills (3.57/set), while she also picked up two assists, an ace and block to give her 27 (3.86/set) of NIU’s 130 points.
In a four-set win at home over Akron, McGlaughlin posted season highs of 18 digs and 17 kills while hitting an efficient .452. She also added an assist and ace. The double-double was her seventh of the season and fifth in a row. Then in a sweep of Buffalo, she totaled 12 digs to extend her streak of double digit digs to six matches. She also netted eight kills along with an assist and block.
