Rivals.com has the Huskies 77th in its 2009 college football preview. You can read what the site has to say about this year's team right here. As a point of reference, here are some Rivals rankings of other MAC schools (Rivals has only released through 120-76): 117. Eastern Michigan, 113. Miami (Ohio), 110. Kent State, 108. Toledo, 103. Ohio, 96. Akron, 91. Ball State, 84, Buffalo, 80. Temple, 77. Northern Illinois. ENGLISH FEATURED IN TRUE NORTH Check out this terrific video on the success of Larry English, both on the field and off. It has interviews with Coach Kill, Susan English (Larry's mom), professors, etc. Really, really worth a watch. A great reminder that Larry, and all our student-athletes, are a lot more than what they between the lines. FOOTBALL FRESHMAN SAN ANTONIO ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Huskie wide receiver Anthony Johnson, who is now on campus for summer courses and workouts, was honored as the San Antonio Express News Boys Field Athlete of the Year. Johnson won the state high jump title and will play wide receiver for NIU. MEN'S HOOPS CAMP STARTS Today and tomorrow, the Northern Illinois men's basketball program will be hosting a team basketball camp at Moody Bible Institute featuring some of the top teams in the Chicagoland area.
