Week's Achievements: Baxter played an integral role in NIU's 30-23 win over Kansas Saturday at Huskie Stadium. The finance major totaled six tackles, along with two of the Huskies' four sacks on the day. His first quarterback drop came on Kansas' first drive when he dropped Dayne Crist for an eight-yard loss and forced the Jayhawks to attempt a field goal. On KU's final drive, Baxter corralled Crist again, this time for a seven-yard loss to pin Kansas at their own six, effectively hindering the Jayhawks' hopes of a comeback. Baxter currently leads the team with five sacks through four games after tying for the team lead with 5.5 in 2011.
Week's Achievements: Carr totaled six saves over, one shutout and allowed one goal in the opening weekend of Mid-American Conference play. Carr lead the Huskies to a 0-1-1 record between the sticks, allowing her only goal on a penalty kick in the 62nd versus Eastern Michigan. In her last four appearances, the junior has only allowed two goals, both PKs. She last allowed a shot on goal slip past her in the 61st minute versus Northwestern on Sept. 7, 399 minutes ago.
