Week’s Achievements: Northern Illinois defensive end Jake Coffman recorded a season-high five tackles, including a half tackle for loss, in the Huskies' 33-7 victory over defending Mid-American Conference champion Central Michigan Saturday afternoon at Huskie Stadium. A finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, Coffman and the NIU defense shutout the Chippewas in the second half and limited CMU to just 86 yards of total offense in the final two quarters of the game. He leads the team in tackles for loss (5.5) and sacks (2), accounting for a loss of 20 total yards.

Week’s Achievements: Kelsey Passaglia (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) was instrumental in NIU’s 2-0 home weekend as she posted one goal, one assist, and three shots on goal. In a 2-1 win over Miami (Ohio), the junior forward set up NIU’s first goal and fired two shots on goal. The exercise sports science/secondary education major with a 3.136 grade point average then scored the Huskies’ lone goal in a victory against Bowling Green. Passaglia’s game-winner came on her only shot on goal, coming in the 59th minute from inside the box. She took a pass in stride and promptly deposited it into the back left of the net.
