Week's Achievements: Huggins recorded his best career finish, taking fifth-place at the Earl Yestingsmeier Individual Invitational in Muncie, Ind. Huggins carded a 54-hole total of three-over 213, finishing just five strokes out of first place. Huggins led the tournament after the first round, firing an opening three-under 67. He followed that opening round with a 74 in round two and a 72 in the final round. Huggins' previous career-best finish was a tie for 32nd at the 2011 St. Mary's Invitational.
Week's Achievements: Malkin had a very successful showing at ITA Regionals over the weekend as she combined to go 4-1 to win a doubles draw title and take second in singles, winning four of six sets. With teammate Stephanie McDonald, Malkin topped Michigan State's Yen/Meyers 8-6 and Chicago State's Lloyd/Noel 9-7 to win the Beta flight doubles title. In singles play, the Israel native beat Detroit-Mercy's Chloe Karoub 7-6, 6-3 and Wisconsin's Pernilla Wohlstrom 6-4, 6-1 before falling to Michigan State's Emily Meyers 6-3, 6-3 in the Charlie flight finals, earning second place.
