WOMEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS UPDATE
The Northern Illinois women's golf team just wrapped up a practice round at the MAC Championships. The Huskies are playing at Longaberger Golf Club, one of just 16 five-star courses in the country, and a course that's on both the Golf Digest and Golf Magazine top public courses lists. The Huskies tee off tomorrow at 8:05 (CST) in a group with Ball State and Ohio. Reports from Longaberger say it's sunny but windy. Good luck to our women's golfers this weekend!

A RETURN TRIP TO SOLDIER FIELD
For the second time in as many seasons, a Northern Illinois team will be playing at historic Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. The Huskie women's soccer team will take part in the KICKS Against Breast Cancer Collegiate Soccer Invitational, Sunday. You can catch all the details of the event here, including game times.
The NIU football team completed its next to last practice Thursday morning under cold and windy conditions. It's a far cry from the forecast for the Huskies' final practice of the spring, which is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Huskie Stadium.
With the lack of numbers, and the desire to stay healthy, Saturday's Spring Preview will not be a game but rather a typical practice. It will give fans a great opportunity to see what Huskie football players go through day in and day out. However, the practice is just a small component of what will be taking place Saturday.
Before practice, fans are invited to come out for the Huskie Athletic Scholarship Fund's Third Annual Tailgate Showdown on the west side of Huskie Stadium. The Tailgate Showdown begins at 11 a.m. and will feature 18 teams of cooks and admission to the event is $10. It will be fans last chance to get a glimpse of former NIU defensive end Larry English as he will be in attendance before heading home to watch the NFL Draft.

Gymnastics, under head coach Mark Sontag, scored a perfect1,000, while Ray Gooden's volleyball team hit 995. THIS IS HOW HE TRAINED...
