Week's Achievements: Krempel played a large part in Northern Illinois' 48-34 win over Western Michigan Saturday in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Huskie offense racked up 453 yards of total offense in the game, averaging 6.7 yards per play. In addition, Krempel helped clear the way for QB Jordan Lynch to pass for 274 yards and rush for another 136 to help NIU record their eighth straight win on the season. After trailing 21-17 at halftime, the Huskie offense exploded for 31 points in the second half to grab the victory.
Week's Achievements: Ksiazek was crucial in the Huskies 'defensive third and midfield last weekend, registering one assist and helping the Northern Illinois secure its first Mid-American Conference Tournament bid since 2010. Ksiazek came off the bench in the Toledo match Thursday Oct. 25 and dished a helper to Kayra Thompson who tied the match in the 69th minute of NIU's must win game against the Rockets. Starting in the back line Sunday at Central Michigan in the MAC quarterfinals, the Naperville, Ill. native helped the Huskies to a 0-0 first half versus the MAC's second ranked team. Northern Illinois fell 2-0 in the quarterfinal to the Chippewas.
