OWENS SHARES LUNCH WITH CONTEST WINNER

Congrats to Bittney, a fifth grade student at Malta Elementary. She entered a contest to win lunch with Head Women's Basketball Coach Carol Owens, and won! Brittney is a big Huskie fan who comes to lots of games. Her parents are both NIU alumni, and her father, William Patrick, even played football for the Huskies! Great job, Brittney, and keep up the terrific Huskie Spirit!

MORE ON Larry English ...

An excerpt from Dennis Dillon's (Sporting News) minicamp review article, posted May 4.

Chargers LB Larry English. The first-round pick looked pretty polished for a player who played most of his career with his hand on the ground at Northern Illinois. English had a solid three days, impressing coaches with his pass rush and coverage. Right now, he projects as Shawne Merriman's backup at strongside linebacker in the Chargers' 3-4.
