Week's Achievements: Nabal Jefferson was a force on the defensive line Tuesday in the Huskies' 63-60 win over Toledo in the Glass Bowl. The junior tied a career-high in tackles with six against the Rockets, including a key tackle for a two-yard loss early in the fourth quarter to limit UT to a field goal. The six stop performance marks the second consecutive game in which the Chicago, Ill., native has set a career-high in tackles. Jefferson has already tied his career-high for most solo tackles in a season and is one tackle away from tying last year's mark in total tackles.
Week's Achievements: Justine Schepler was solid in the back row all weekend as she helped the Huskies go 2-0 with 14 digs (2.33/set), two aces, and 16 perfect serve receptions. During a 3-0 win at home over Toledo, she accumulated four digs, four errorless serve receptions, and an ace. In a 3-0 victory against Ball State, she turned in 10 digs, 12 flawless serve receptions, and served up an ace to end the match, extending NIU's season-long winning streak to 11 matches and ending a five-match losing streak to the Cardinals.
