Week's Achievements: Cadieux was a key member of the Huskies lineup Friday night when Northern Illinois defeated Marquette, 4-3, to claim NIU's first win over the Golden Eagles since 2002. Cadieux finished the weekend 2-0 with wins at No. 3 doubles and singles. With partner Jovan Zeljkovic, Cadieux defeated the Marquette pair of Packowitc and Skly, 8-4, to clinch NIU's first point of the match. In singles, the sophomore grinded out a three-set victory over Logon Collins, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, to tie the match at 3-3. The Huskie is 12-1 this season in singles play and 7-4 in singles.
Week's Achievements: Melendez put together her best day of the season, and arguably the best day of her career, in NIU’s meet at Western Michigan. Melendez claimed the balance beam title with a 9.825 score and earned the best marks of her career on vault, where she tied for fifth with a 9.775, and on uneven parallel bars, where she tied for second with a 9.825. She contributed to a fantastic day on bars for the Huskies, whose team score of 48.925 tied for the fifth-best team bars score in school history.
