Week's Achievements: Dor Amir went 3-3 over the weekend (1-2 doubles, 2-1 singles) in matches against SIUE, IPFW and No. 73 Drake. Amir, playing at No. 3 in the Huskies lineup, did not lose a singles match Friday against the Cougars and the Mastodons, winning his matches with scores of 6-1, 6-2 and 7-6, 6-2, respectively. His lone doubles win of the day was against IPFW and with teammate Axel Lagerlof in No. 1 doubles, defeated their opponents, 8-4. Amir was winless against the nationally ranked Bulldogs, but did take his match to three sets with Alen Salibasic and falling 3-6, 6-4, 10-6.
Week's Achievements: Jenner Sio moved a step higher in the Northern Illinois record books this weekend when she broke her own record in the triple jump at the Iowa State Classic. The senior reached a 39-01.00 (11.91m) mark to top the old record - which she set last season at the MAC Championships - by 2.5 inches. Sio took sixth in a field that included nationally-ranked triple jumpers Malaikah Love of Southern Illinois, Carisa Leacock of Iowa and Kenna Wolter of South Dakota.
